It was July 6, 7 & 8, 1979, according to an original news article in the Baltimore Afro American.

It would be pretty cool to resurrect that festival (on its 31st anniversary) at the A.C. Race Course, duplicating the original lineup(as closely as possible, anyaway). What say you?
